IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON KINGDOM TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS, LLC
Introduction
Our company is an audiovisual and information technology company based in Fredrick County, Maryland. Governor Larry Hogan’s March 30, 2020 stay at home order does not apply to Kingdom Technology Partners because our company is engaged in multiple sectors of the 16 critical infrastructure sectors identified by CISA. Kingdom Technology Partners is in full compliance with Governor Hogan’s April 15, 2020 executive order. We have now extended our hours to help accommodate essential activities.
Orders
On March 23, 2020, Maryland Governor Hogan issued an Order (the “March 23 Order”) closing all “Non-Essential Businesses.” It points out that the state of Maryland controls the occupancy and use of all businesses “that are not part of the critical infrastructure sectors identified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).” Governor Hogan issued the “Stay at Home Order” on March 30, 2020 which requires all souls living in Maryland to stay in places of residence, except to conduct “Essential Activities” defined as obtaining groceries and items needed to work at home. Additionally, the Stay at Home Order provides that it does not apply to businesses that are part of the critical infrastructure sectors identified in the CISA memorandum discussed below. Therefore, the Order does not apply to businesses that are engaged in one or more of the 16 critical infrastructure sectors identified by CISA.
Scope of Practice
Kingdom Technology Partners is an essential business under CISA’s memorandum issued on March 19, 2020, and updated on March 31, 2020. CISA has identified 16 critical infrastructure sectors, including communications and information technology, because their assests, systems, and networks, whether physical or virtual, are vital to the United States that their incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating effect on the country’s security, economic security, public health or safety, or any combination thereof. Kingdom Technology Partners, as an audiovisual and Information Technology company, is proud that it is engaged in multiple sectors of the 16 critical infrastructure sectors identified by CISA including, without limitation, acting as a service provider in information technology solutions, servicing audiovisual technology for local, federal, and county jurisdictions, providing equipment, hardware, and software in support of many other critical infrastructure sectors, and employing engineers and technicians “supporting communications systems and information technology-and work from home solutions- used by law enforcement, public safety, medical, energy, public works…, education, and other critical infrastructure industries and businesses.” Because Kingdom Technology Partners is part of the critical infrastructure sectors identified by CISA, the March 23 Order is inapplicable to the company. Kingdom Technology Partners has a special role and responsibility to continue business and services.
Safety Measures
